From Bridal Dresser to Horse Whisperer! 🐴👰

As Emma from My Bridal Dresser, I get to experience some truly magical wedding days, but every now and then, a moment comes along that I know I’ll never forget.

One of those moments happened at Wasing Park, where I had the absolute pleasure of supporting my bride, Katie, throughout her special day. But the highlight? Helping Katie fulfil a dream she thought might never happen — getting her beautiful wedding dress and herself onto her beloved horse!

Katie had always dreamed of having her horse at her wedding, but she had been told that sadly, it just wasn’t possible. Then, to make matters worse, her chief bridesmaid and best friend had told her she couldn’t make the wedding.

Or so Katie thought!

After Katie and her groom had completed their confetti walk, her best friend appeared, walking up the drive towards them… with her horse! 🐴❤️

It was the most wonderful surprise, and seeing Katie’s reaction was priceless.

Having grown up around horses and various animals, I felt completely comfortable helping Katie mount her horse. Although, I have to admit, there were a few challenges! Her dress was absolutely enormous, and getting all that beautiful fabric safely positioned while mounting a horse required a little creativity.

There was also a rather important safety moment when the wedding planner came over to help and stood directly behind the horse. I quickly stepped in — horses can kick, and standing directly behind one is something you should never, ever do!

Thankfully, with a little teamwork, plenty of care and some careful dress arranging, we got Katie safely onto her horse. I then positioned her dress so it flowed beautifully, creating the most stunning photograph.

For me, this is exactly why I love what I do. It’s not simply about making sure a wedding dress looks perfect. It’s about being there, solving the unexpected challenges and, sometimes, helping a bride make a dream come true.

And on Katie’s wedding day, I went from bridal dresser to horse helper — and I loved every minute of it! 🐴✨
